EMCSA COUNCIL 2011
At the AGM the EMCSA Council for 2011 was declared. Members are: Mark Mifsud (Chairman), Kingsley McRae (Treasurer), Gordana Felic, John Hyne, Malcolm Mulcare, Paul Kay, Paul Payne, Franz Schlagenhaufer, Andrew Walters.
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The EMCSA Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held in Melbourne on 22nd February 2011 at Engineers Australia 21 Bedford Street North Melbourne. At the AGM an amendment to the Constitution allowing the easier formation of committees in conjunction with outside bodies was passed.
NEWSLETTER EDITOR
Gordana Felic is the Society Newsletter Editor in 2011. After many years of service Jack Pluck has finally taken off his apron and eyeshade and washed the ink from his hands! The Society thanks Jack most sincerely for his time (in more than one period) as Editor.
STUDENT TRAVEL AWARD WINNER
The winner of the EMCSA Travel Award for 2010 was Shabbir Ahmed of Victoria University for his paper entitled: Interference Issues at Co-located Base Stations and an Adaptive Cancellation Solution. Shabbir won sponsorship for travel to the IEEE EMC Symposium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida USA in July 2010, and the EMCSA EMC Symposium in September 2010. Shabbir presented his paper at the EMCSA 2010 Symposium.
EMCSA SYMPOSIUM 2011
Following the success of the 2010 EMCSA EMC Symposium in Melbourne the EMCSA is pleased to announce that the 2011 EMC Symposium will be held in Perth Western Australia on 9-11 November 2011. High-quality papers representing all areas of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) in electrical and electronic engineering will be presented.
